William “Bill” George Colvin, 75, of Connersville passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 29, 2012.
He was born on August 30, 1937 in Greens Fork to William Alexander and Gladys May Clark Colvin and graduated from Cambridge City High School
He had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 until 1961 and the National Guard. He retired from Dana Machining Plant of Richmond, IN in 1998.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Mae Colvin whom he married on September 15, 2007; sons William (Debbie) Faw, Kenneth Duane (Theresa) Faw and Randall (Tammy) Faw all of Connersville, Larry (Michelle) Lodge, Luke (Joan) Lodge, Mark (Debbie) McCracken all of Hagerstown, daughters Carrie Sears of Anderson, Brenda (James) Veillon of Lake Charles, LA and Trudy Lodge of Hagerstown; 30 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brothers Larry Colvin of Straughn, Jerry (Sue) Colvin of Arkansas, sister Janet (Don) Wampler of Milton and several brother and sisters inlaw; nieces and nephews; and his church family at Connersville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carol Lorraine Kellogg, his previous wife Cella Elizabeth Colvin; sisters Anna Dale, Barbara Geise and Bertha Rinehart.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Connersville Church of Christ with Wayne Greeson officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery in Milton. Friends may call at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM and after 10:00 AM at the church on Monday.
